The animation is spectacular.

I couldn't process it all, I'm going to have to watch many, many times. My only complaint was that the end was rather sudden and I didn't understand it, but it's probably my own damn fault for not being terribly familiar with the series. The best part was the little frustrated hand shake he made at one point, very subtle but awesome.

Hope this doesn't mean there won't be an episode 9.... :/

I really liked it at first, but as I watched it the animation seemed less stylized and simply sloppy. But seriously, if this was done in a weekend only then you're truly gifted.

Some parts seemed a little tacky, like the boy raising his arm to touch the screen; that just seemed too rigid and jittery compared to the fluid lines of their faces. Also, it only takes a minute or two to polish animation text, I think you could have made the IM chat a little more attractive. A font that was a little less default, and colors that were a little less fluorescent, and proper indentation for those second lines...

But that's just me being nit picky. Other than what I pointed out and maybe the fact that it was a *little* too emo, it was an interesting watch.

It was cute, especially the maincharacter. Very iconic.

The only stylistic thing I disagreed with was with the throngs of people layered in front of the tiny main character performing in the distance. They didn't seem to fit with the animation style of the rest of the short; also, it took me a few secs to understand what I was looking at -- I didn't notice the guy in the distance until the scene was almost over.

Lastly, it seemed to drop off at the end rather suddenly. I guess that means he was really hungry? There must have been more you could have done to give it a better sense of finality.

I like how you transformed (hehe) them into chibi figures - very cool. Also, the fact that you did your own voices instead of using that stupid computer speech went a long way to making it more watchable. Some of the animation wasn't too great, but the rest made up for it. Awesome short.

This was totally awesome. Nice to see an informative flash not done in a stuffy, pompous way. You're much more likely to reach more people with an approach like this than about a hundred other methods I can think off. Keep up the good work!

This was blurry, had blurry audio, was completely devoid of plot, and made me squint a lot. However, you were very adept at labeling your different cameras? So that's something at least.

I get that you're going for experimental, but even within that genre you could have done better. Better masking of the clay images so the flames didn't poke through that layer. And what's with the intro? Why is the production quality so low for that -- certainly *that* wasn't intended to be experimental, right?
